Morning and Night tea taste?

Short Summaries of May 2015

A fast blogging just to update what going on in May, it is a busy month and tiring sleepless.
Went to a short trip with my family to the water village ; Pulau Ketam (浮罗吉胆) or Crab Island（螃蟹岛). Nothing much just a place for rest and having good seafood. I will try my best to review about the place and what to do there.

If you follow me or read my blog you know my birthday is on 11th May.
And I just did my very own private party (I did everything myself with Sarah planning to food to buying stuff) a small gathering so dont angry if I didn't invite you, cause they limited us how many guest can bring into the apartment. As always Im celebrating it together with my dearest sister-from-another-mom; Sarah whose came to this world one day (10th May) early than me. More photos coming and will blog how I done my party in a limited budget, so stay tune keep on following me.

Too many friends but I only have one birthday a year. LOL Everyone friends was offering to treat me for dinner but sorry guys I only have one birthday one mouth and one tummy, We can always make it another day.
Birthday treat from friends, definitely a nice place for a great ribs!! Was planning to go for Naughty Nuris but fully booking so we walked around and found the hidden gem there. Will reveal it on another post so stay tune! hahaha So reader if I reveal everything in a post u definitely will never come back to my blog so I just have to make you wait for it.

Im back on the running track, being a little slack this year is almost June and I think not more than five run I joined this year.
Was always wanted to try the Towerthon cause never really go for a stair challenge, was planning to join it last year but my running buddies ignored me, how sad!!! But this year everyone look interested to so here we go on the stair; still the same words stay tune for the experience on the total stair of 2058 steps.

a week later after the Towerthon another run is up!
The Great Eastern Run but we joined the 12K Live Great Run which is a clean run without color powder, but end up as shown in the photo. Our very first experience in Great Eastern run and the suffer of cleaning all the color, will blog about the experience and the suffer so stay tune.

Been not super active in my blogging but still receiving many opportunity of collaborate with some product and invited to some event but have to reject some which I couldn't do it on time.

Philips PerfectCare Azur

Good Afternoon peeps! hahaha It been 1months ago my previous update am not slacking I swear, just busy with my work and my gym. And taking care of my bf on behalf his mom, you know how tiring it is to babysit a baby and this is an adult baby. I have to help him out to do all his chores at his house since he is quite a idiot in doing all those "lady work" as he always said. Fyi he stay in KL alone with any family or friends here.

I work from Monday to Saturday (half day) the only day for me to fully rest is only Sunday and he always nagging around forcing me to help him iron all his work suit and I hate ironing even my own clothes I don't iron I try to buy iron-free clothes so I dont have to iron any of it. hahah *lazy people = most clever people on earth*

Don't you people think of iron is actually really tiring job? You have to like stand there wait for the iron to be heated up then you have to spray water on to your clothes before ironing it, to prevent from over heat and burn you favorite clothe or just because it is hard to iron you keep on spraying water onto your clothes till it is totally wet then u iron till it dry but still it doesn't look smooth. Then every one clothes you iron you have to like wait a 3mins for the iron to reheat again and again, it take like forever to just iron a Monday-Friday work outfit. And some clothes material pretty to wear but hard to iron or can't be iron, once you iron there's goes you favorite dress with a big hole or a new iron print on it.

I always wanna get a steam iron cause it look so cold and lesser work, can minus the spraying water part. ahahahaha! Then I got it cause my fairy godmother heard my thought. Thanks to Philip I got my own steam iron, The Philips PerfectCare Azur Steam
It written carefree ironing and no setting required; this is what I want!! hahaha Dear people do always read the instruction before using especially consume and electrical stuff, it might be dangerous if you doesn't know your own stuff. If you don't understand English no worries the box contain like 4-5 languages if Im not mistaken, it even have Korean words! hahaha

Open you box and you will see this the summary of instruction; quick start guide just for lazy people like me! Actually nothing much you have to know about the iron, just plug in and start ironing not even have to think of which clothes with what heat level needs or have to read every single clothes you iron.

How it works? 1234 easy;

1) Pour in water; tank water will do, then plug in wait the blinking light to stop then push to steam and you can start ironing. OMG my iron is better than yours! Even look cooler than yours hahah! *dont jelly please*


2) You can choose either max steam or Eco steaming; Steam output up to 50g/min and could boost up to 200g for stubborn wrinkles. If iron not in using just let it rest/stand. There's a red trigger below the hand-grip for user to extra boost steam while ironing clothes or ironing in vertical position and yes you could hang your clothes up then iron it vectically, just by pulling your clothes one hand and another hand hold iron then iron with press release the trigger.

3) Storing your iron; just push to no steam, unplug, pour out the remaining water & wind the cord around the bottom part of the iron, the shape is designed a winding area on. As for people like me(lazy people) will not pour out the water I just left it in there till the next time I use I dont have to pour again. hahahaha I know Im lazy. Fyi the second photo is how it look like when I open box.

4) Calc clean (iron cleaning) instruction, for every 1 months or if the blinking light no longer blue light, just push the yellow button. Pour in water, switch to no steam, plug in and let it heat up(2mins) then unplug and bring your iron to the sink press the yellow button which shaking the iron, lastly wipe dry your soleplate after it cool down.

Easy right? The iron even have a build-in sprayer you dont have to do extra job just press the button on top the steam adjustment, and the water will be spray out from the top of the pointy part.

The soleplate is T-ionic glide soleplate; gliding and anti-scratch with integrated titanium-oxide layer. This really good cause when you garment have zip or metal button it might easily scratch your iron plate then it will be hard to iron clothes and it will burn your clothes or turn out to be sticky and those dirt will be iron onto your clothes and stain it.
The shape of the iron having a speedy designed shape for better visibility; to reach difficult area and Precision SteamBoost area for a focussed shot of steam and the slim tip for delicate ironing complete the Quattro Precision Tip.

The iron come with a cup with point mouth for easy user to pour water into iron and also an innovative cordguide; simple click onto iron board and it will guide your iron cord while ironing. Best thing ever, I always feel troublesome with those iron cord stuck at the edge of the iron board.

Do you know Philips PerfectCare Azur steam iron shuts off automatically when left unattended. If left on it's heel rest the steam iron will switch off in 3 minutes, when left resting on the soleplate it will take 2 minutes before the iron shuts off. MY IRON IS SO DAMN COOL!!

And what make it cooler is I don't have to waste 30 mins - 1 hour to iron my clothes anymore! Never Hungry - Taiwan

This is Time for eat-Taiwan Part 2, you can view the Part 1 HERE, the previous post I did mention few places to eat in TaiChung and I realize didnt talk about their street foods or night market, this post I shall do a little bit bout Taiwan street foods. Come to Taiwan the must to try even you dont like it you just must try, which is Beancurd ermm nope is Smelly tofu!!
Me and Christina is a big fans of smelly tofu ( beancurd ) and Taiwan have many different kind of smelly tofu. This is few of it we ate at their night market, you can easy spot at least one stall selling it just depend it is nice or just normal. Smelly tofu does smell bad but it taste so good especially thought crispy outside and smooth inside! It wasn't cheap for that piece of stinky tofu it cost us 50yuan (RM5.90 according to current rate) but the taste worth it.

The look already worth paying!! This really the nicest stink tofu I had in Taiwan, I realize Taiwanese love using coriander leaf and I love coriander leaf hahahah! I prefer stinky tofu which is not dry and fried the whole tofu. Just as the following photo outer crispy inner soft tofu.
As I said you can found different kind of stinky tofu and I tried three different type of it from different night market and the best still the first one. In Malaysia we can get stinky tofu at night market too and what we have here are different from what we ate at Taiwan, different; the texture the taste even the sauce is different.

This is the similar type we have in Malaysia whole tofu is fried dry with sauce and they Will give you some preserved cabbage, but the one in Malaysia are preserved in red sauce but in Taiwan all are clear preserved cabbage it look tasteless but really nice.
This one really look so effortless stinky tofu, which it look like I could do it myself at home. LOL It is neither the whole fried dry nor the crispy outside soft inside. So choose your stinky tofu wisely.

More street foods to go, you will never be hungry in Taiwan especially if you stay near a night market. We always seen or heard in Taiwanese drama about 葱油饼-Scallion pancake (Green onion pancake) so we just have to try once and this is how it look like;
Totally different from what we imagine, cause my parents use to love scallion pancake too while we still young they always make us some and it doesnt look like this it is soft pancake and what we got there is crispy!! and really nice but really oily cause it is fried it with many oil.

We even found this tempting, actually anything with the word CHEESE is tempting! hahah you can choose any topping for your potatoes other than cheese and the amount of cheese is boom!

Never stop eating, you can find anything any flavour foods in their night market is like heaven of foods. You will never get full with those foods around you. You will find this word 大肠包小肠-Big sausage wrap small sausage almost every night market, first thing come to mind was a large sausage wrapping up a small sausage something like hotdog but the bread was replace by giant sausage.
But no I was wrong it is actually glutinous rice made-look-alike hotdog bun wrapping up a Taiwan sausage, best thing about this is they serving it with topping, like choosing veggies at Subway but not as healthy as Subway cause it BBQ-ed glutinous rice and sausage. This is really something special and nice plus it fill up you tummy so you wont spend more at night market. hahah! MUST TRY

Having so must of heaty stuff you must never forget to drink more water and I never forget to hydrate myself by buying myself a white bitter ground juice! Yes it is white in color not green and it doesn't taste bitter at all it taste sweet.
For some reason people who visit Taiwan will definitely choose to drink this and Im one of them. Okay I did lie a bit about not bitter at all, it does taste a little bitter like bee sting. APRIL FOOL!!! Yes it still bitter ground it had that name for a reason, but it really taste sweet with a bit of bitter.

Talking about sweet stuff, they have this tall ice-cream almost everywhere, especially those tourist spot definitely you will found one, do share with you friends or siblings cause it is quite big ice cream, for me I couldnt finish it myself and it is too cold for me to finish it up by myself haha. Nothing much special about it other than it is tall. Gimmick and for the purpose of photograph.
If you dont like ice-cream try this you will see this often in night market; 冰糖葫芦-candied fruit, you can choose any fruits you want, the most famous fruits is strawberries because the sourly and sweetness of the candied really mix well together. They even have kiwi, grapes, apples, cherry tomato or cherry tomato with plum. The traditional one is using hawthorn山楂 but than we tried one stick of hawthorn and it took us quite long to finish it up cause hawthorn is a bit harder than the other fruits, it is harder to bite it off. You get your hand sticky eating this so prepare yourself some baby wipe.
If you dont want fruit then get yourself some sweet, 麦芽糖-maltose, if you get yourself a real maltose sweet it actually pretty nice, I dont think people now selling real maltose sweet most of it should be sugar.
If you think this is the end of the street food post, you're wrong! Next coming will be seafood on the street. The barbecue giant squid and deep fried gigantic squid meat.
This might taste a bit fishy but the texture not like chewing gum, it is soft. When it come to sotong, octopus or squid people will think of the chewy meat. For the deep fried for first look we all thought it was fishball and it does taste a bit like fishball and the texture bouncy texture. Fried foods never goes wrong.

Barbecue oyster, yes you can get oyster at night market too. They are really kind of them letting us to choose the size ourselves, but dont expect for big oyster cause it will take you long to stand there just to wait for your oyster to cook. It is fresh and juicy.
More oyster, oyster noodles or oyster soup we just love it. Not everyone like oyster cause the fishy smell and taste especially after cook it is more fishier.
Fried crab; Idk how it taste cause my dad finish it by himself with my mom but the crab look tempting. I realize most of the street foods are high in cholesterol so remember never over eat and check your cholesterol level before you start hunting street foods. My dad is one of the fella who never care of his cholesterol he really a uncontrollable food hunter. -_-"
Last food and it is a food which you wish to had it on a cold weather; Roasted sweet potatoes, it is big and sweet! best snack on cold weather.
My review is suck I know but I didnt meant to blog it but once I started I couldnt stop myself. Their Shilin night market is really famous but It just big and crowded, the price there are a bit high probably because mostly tourist go there since it is famous.
