Althea Petal Velvet Powder (Review)

10:19 PM 0
I guess most of the big fans of Korean makeup heard of or loyal customer of Althea.kr, Althea not only providing/importing many Korea cosmetics & skincare. They even have their own products, recently they just launched a new product and here am I to review a bit about the product.

It is a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves silky finish to the touch. It was made from pure & natural ingredient, it have a mild scent of flower and very fine, light & smooth powder.

The powder come with a 13mm thick & fluffy puff, the size of the powder is a bit too small and the puff itself is quite small but it is really soft and fluffy.

It main ingredient is Althea flower and it have many benefits ;
  • Hydrating : One of the most resilient flower, full of natural antioxidants that protect the skin from dehydration by increasing moisture levels.
  • Sun Protection : Polyphenols helps to protect the skin from adverse effects caused by sun exposure & ultraviolet radiation.
  • Anti-Ageing : Saponarin helps to repair damaged skin cells & restores elasticity to prematurely aging skin.
The Althea powder can help to minimize our pores & fine lines to reveal a flawless, petal-like, complexion skin.It also create a satin finish that mattifies without dehydrating the skin. It also help serum control, excellent oil-absorbing properties.

The powder texture is really fine and smooth to blend on skin, it wont leave a caking finish. Although the powder is white colour but it wont make my skin overly white or fairer than my natural tone.

I used it on to set my makeup and also apply on naked face and it feel like nothing, it is very very light. Really hard to explain how the texture like, the first dip/swatch it feel like flour but when you start blending it actually blend on my skin very well and it wont feel like powdery but feel like nothing on.

Pros :
  • Really fine & smooth.
  • The puff is really fluffy.
  • Affordable price or should I say the cheapest setting powder.
Cons :
  • A bit too small.
  • Quite messy while apply or maybe Im clumsy.
