Cafe Out of KL

5:57 PM 2
It been awhile I didn't update blog, because Raya and my colleagues having their Raya Leave I have to take over their parts so kinda busy and I'm sorta out of stuff to write on. So here a throwback quite way back like 1-2months ago.

If you followed me quite sometime you will know I travel a lot especially to Johor Bharu *where my bf stay*. This round I went to visit him after so long I didnt visit his family. He decided to bring me to some new cafe he discovered.

***fyi; this is his very first time planned to bring me to some cafe, normally he will just bring me to some hawker stall or mamak or fast foods or the stall he and his friends used to hang out. So it quite a surprise he actually bring me here. Normally I will be the one who discover or search where to eat or what nice to eat and he will just bring me there. My bf the typical man which dont really care what they put into their mouth.

Where should I even start!? The name of the cafe - g Cafe @Taman Mount Austin, you can see their cafe easily with the big bright logo of "g"
They have upstairs & downstairs with outdoor(smoking area) to be seated. Their interior is comfy and relaxing suitable for everyone, for friends gather or family days or a place for you to be alone doing your own work there with a cup of coffee and piece of cake.

Sorry didn't took must photo on the seat, because I was to excited with their desserts.

The desserts bar, you can just see what they have before ordering.

 The beverages bar with the young handsome barista, preparing our drinks.

Before we start eating of course never waste even a second and start to selfie. Every second with him is precious so we shall keep on taking photo. Matchy Spain jersey;

Do remember this logo and BEAR ON!

Me looking terribly pale with eyebags with all the desserts.

The foods are all served and we have this weird habits; that we will not start eating unless our foods are all served in front us. Two different flavour big macaroon, Almond Indulgence, Green Tea Tiramisu and Oreo Milk Shake Ice Blended(which not in the photo). The photo really presentable right! You must know who took this and who arranged this, ME. hahahah

Everything look so good we have no idea which one to start from. We started with the Almond indulgence and I really like it, not too sweet just right. The chocolate ball on top is really nice, normally chocolate piece I will just give it to my bf because it made to be super sweet but not this. You should try it if you're there;

Almond Indulgence ; RM9.90

Our all time favorite GREEN TEA!! Both me and bf have really much same interest in almost everything. We actually said must order this when we saw it on the menu! hahah
If you a green tea lover like us, you MUST MUST MUST try this at least once. The green tea smell so good and the cream is smooth. It not really sweet too suit me but not my bf because he like sweet stuff. It is made of imported green tea powder and espresso soaked lady finger.

gMatchamisu - Green Tea Tiramisu - RM13.90 (worth to try)

The pretty and big macaroon!! Macaroon is really pretty in their round sandwich shape and the color which actually make human full of appettite. But macaroon is super duper sweet!! I always can't go for a second bites.

We ordered two different flavours to share; Lemon and Green Tea! - RM3.50 (Market price plus with the slightly bigger size of it)

If you realize I mention big when I talk about the macaroon, they put the macaroon on the small shot glass and you can see how how big the macaroon is. The shot glass is cold, properly they froze it so the cold macaroon can stay cold for awhile while served. See the macaroon is slightly bigger than the normal macaroon we see outside! hahah

About the taste....hmmmmm~ I prefer the Lemon flavour one and my bf prefer green tea one. The lemon is really nice with the strong lemon essence, as for the green tea I think not bad too but if comparing both I prefer lemon one.

Lastly the Oreo Milk Shake Ice Blended- RM10

Nothing much to talk about, is just normal oreo milk shake and quite sweet for me. We didn't want any coffee because it is too late to have coffee, worried we won't get a good sleep later on. Maybe their coffee is a blast, if any of you tried do let me know, so I could ask my bf to go for it he drink caffeine and I don't LOL.

So this is end of my "Cafe Out of KL" Hope all of you like it and feel tempted to go for a try there. Price are slightly above market price but the environment really cozy and relaxing. Service are good and place really clean.

Overall Good and relaxing, foods are good and our total damage is RM44.90 (Included Service-charges)

Great Brunch

3:25 PM 4
Yesterday was public holiday so we decided to go out for brunch with le girlfriends since everyone not working and Steffy is back for visit from Taiwan. But still we are not all there due to Carina went dating with bf, we were late to date her. Anyway, let see where we went for brunch but first let us take some #selfie;
Okay, I admit I choose these photos because I look good in it. HAHAHAHAH!! *evil* Okay let go to the foods no more selfie for now, we wait till the end of the post then.

We make decision to go Jibby & Co in Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya. If you never went there before or not familiar with that area like me. Just use Wave type in Empire Shopping Gallery or Jibby and Co will do. It easy to see cause it is a big glass two storey building right in front of the CIMB, I didnt took any photo of the building nor the environment. Anyhow, below photo took from Eat Drink KL;

When we reach, it started long queue outside, luckily Jaycee and Steffy reach and got us a table but we need to share with other people. Anyway the foods is the main point, so let see;

First served;

Jaycee's Chicken with Shimeji & Portobello Mushroom Carbonara - RM27
I suggest to order and share if you're a small eater, it is really creamy and really nice. The portion is bigger than what we thought and couldn't finish it alone because the creaminess make you full.

My came second; Basil Pesto - RM28
This is really nice because it come with many mushroom!! hahaah Not to greasy you can keep on eating this and won't feel bored. Jaycee said the basil taste wasn't strong she like it, depending on people some people like strong basil fragrance.

Steffy's Salmon Russian - RM23
It look so tempting! I really love salmon especially raw and smoked, underneath smoked salmon is egg aioli. This is okay okay for me because I already forgot how it taste like. If it is really good I definitely remember the taste

Lu Yi's Seafood Aglio Olio with Prawns, Butter fish, Blue Mussels, Squids - RM32
Just realise we ordered all the most common pasta hahahah! This is normal too but it is nice and full of seafoods, the prawns and mussels is big! Not really oily nor spicy.

Last came Angie's Soft Shell Crab Burger on Brioche - RM32
The frieds is heaven! Really nice sweet potatoes frieds not too sweet is the sweet of potatoes. Really soft and way different from normal french frieds. Even the burger taste normal the just completed everything. hahahah

And for the drink, sorry I only manage to took my own drink. The other start drinking once the drink served. Steffy's Boo Boo's Special - RM13 which is Pineapple, Orange, Lemon and Grenadine; It taste like orange and lemon only nothing special the only thing is we been guessing is why it is red in color.

Jaycee's Think shake, Chocolate - RM15; idk what it taste like because I not into chocolate so didnt try it. But it does loook thick.

Luyi and Angie sharing their, Lychee Mint - RM15; Combination of Ice blended lychee, watermelon, lime juice and mint leaves. This is really refreshing drink, everything in it is refreshing and remedy for thirst.

Mine Coco Longo - Rm19; Fresh coconut juice+flesh, Coconut ice-cream and longan. This is heavenly nice cooling drink ever and really nice properly because I like coconut juice. Similar taste to Malacca Klebang shake but I personally think this is nicer.

Overall the whole brunch really nice, with good foods and drink, comfy environment not too noisy and with my girlfriends. Everything here is good included the service is good, just the price is abit pricy.

Let end the post with my #OOTD shall I!? hahahaha or maybe #selfie again?! I think better to be both then since I can't make any decision;

Outfit of the day; Mature don't I?! LOL
Make-up of the day; I love my laces sticker double eyes lid, easy, invisible and comfortable compare to glue and those tape!!

How Crazy Taste Like

4:33 PM 2
Taking about crazy what can it be more crazier than putting live octopus into your mouth?! It might look weird in our country but in Korean or Japan maybe it actually really common to eat live seafood. Live mean still moving live sea creature without cooking it.

Even you wanted to try eating live seafood it quite risky because in KL we don't have sea near us, if we really want to have live seafood we have to go out of state to have it. But now we could have it in KL! but it might a bit different kind of seafood.

Crazy Fish the name; It is owned by a Korean couple, their famous seafood is the live octopus.

Let's go into their environment before we start eating;

You can choose to seated outside or inside which look as picture below. Their interior someone do have those Korea feel, you can see few tables are Korean. You can come and have you light meal and beer or Korean wine with your friends or dinner because they serve cooked foods too. You also can see a chalk board on top of the kitchen bar or counter, written what fresh and what seafood of the day or recommended seafood.

Lastly of course aquarium with live fish and other sea creature that you might never ever see before. ahhahaah!

Now we go into the main; FOODS

They will give complimentary veggies/dishes;

Carrot & cucumber with the salty sauce you normally see in Korean bbq restaurant, stewed potatoes which taste quite nice! and cucumber pickled which taste good too. Then we saw other table having kimchi as their side-dish so we sibeh kiasu don't wanna lose we requested for kimchi too! hahaha So remember to request for kimchi if they didn't gave you. Their kimchi is so cold and nice, it sour spicy sting really nice.

We keep on finished all the side dishes in few minutes till the fifth times we ask for refill the lady boss came and told us that the as refill for side-dishes! WHY!!!? This is no because we are greedy is because they foods serving is super slow!

As for beverage, they serve water for free as normal Korean restaurant too and we additional order a plum wine because Sarah and Macy want;

Me and Shan only drank 1 Small glass we are not into drinking. hahaha! I don't like this but I drink the one my sis bought from Langkawi with big plum in it.

Anyway, this bottle is RM25

Our main purpose was the live octopus, so a must order;

I saw another blog about their experience but it was few months ago before we dine-in, It was stated in his blog live octopus RM30 but when we see the menu it written RM70 but because we don't wanna come so far and didn't get what we want, so we still ordered;
I would said is a new kind of experience if you never had it before but the taste just tasteless with fresh raw seafood but not smelly. The texture of chewiness is OMG hard to chew, I believe you won't chew long because it is really hard to chew till it minced. LOL! and of course it move but not in your mouth cause I didn't feel any movement in my mouth. They serve it with sesame oil only. Here a video showing it moving;

Next up was Urechis or some people called it as (Sea Penis);

This is how it look like it might look ugly but I think it look quite cute. HAHAHAH! I know Im weird, my friends didn't want to order this but I forced them to because I saw people said before it actually really tasty so I MUST TRY IT!! *photo from Google*

After being sliced it turn into this;

It still look not tasty till you put it into your mouth. It actually surprised us!! I mean only me and Sarah ate it cause the other thing it look ugly so they refuse to eat it even we choose the smallest pieces! It not fishy smell but quite fresh and slightly sweet and easier to chew compare to octopus. This Urechis is also live and still moving but not moving aggressively like octopus just minor movement. Btw you can mix it with sweet sauce it taste good and different kind of tasty.

I think this should be the MUST TRY in their menu, this small amount cost us RM35.

Following by Fish Egg Soup;

Which recommend by the waiter there. Nothing special to shout out about, I thought it will be something special but nope just normal with many fish eggs which again only me and Sarah finishing all the fish egg since the other two don't eat fish eggs.

The small pot of soup cost RM18

Since they written on board REALLY FRESH we decided to order the Haribut or Halibut or Gwangeo sashimi;

I think all their seafood is fresh without fishy smell! LOL It taste quite similar to salmon but then texture more rough than salmon and it got some kind of vein which hard to chew and few bites it actually goes into between my teeth lucky it didn't pull out my teeth! hahahah and I have no idea why they serve it with veggies, garlic and chillies, are we suppose to wrap it? I tried it since they serve so but nothing special nor tastier. LOL I like chili so I finished the chili. Lmao
This is RM45 I think it is for the small portion because they have a S behind in the receipt.

We were worries that those seafood sashimi might not fill our tummy so we order noodle! Lala Panmee Noodle;

Nothing special and I think our panmee is nicer, the soup is clear and quite tasteless, a bit thick and powdery. We think they cooked the cook noodles and soup together with the same water. The noodle itself is not special. I have to put in salt and sesame oil to season it myself to taste better. ahahha

This big pot can be share among 4 person, RM30.

At this moment we could feel the foods in our stomach but not fully filled but we still have 2 dishes which not yet serve, we waited for quite long and a bit frustrated.

After long waited our last 2 foods serve, idk what this fish name cause the didn't count into the bill and idk why. Probably they forgot or they wanna give us for free because for awaited long. but if not mistaken should be Yellow Corbina;

Nothing special and really salty! I think corbina might be mean salty fish in Korea. No comment since it is free anyway.
Last one, a big Rice Ball RM10;

This is nice but the rice quite oily, the dried seaweed quite salty and the rice are quite tasteless so it go while together. It just normal rice with cucumber and carrot.

When we about to leave the boss gave us complimentary Salmon!! Because of the long waited serving! How generous are the couple boss. The salmon yes fresh as while and really ocean sweet I called it. I JUST LOVE SALMON!

The mess we did that night, everything cost us RM236 Nett which service charges or government tax. It is not a bad place but we won't be going there again cause quite expensive and not filling, maybe go for normal friends gather and have some snack with some Korean wine but as for experiencing Korean live seafood yes you must go there!

They located at Solaris Mont Kiara, you can search on Wave GPS Crazy Fish and you will get it. Just park inside the mall and walk around you will find it. Spot their name Crazy Fish with a fish in the Fish.
